The appeal of being downtown is that you could get to work without a car! This is a huge factor for young professionals who have a tonne of student debt and don want to go further into debt to buy a car so they can get to work! I would love to work in Markham/Scarborough/RichmondHill etcc if they were more accessible by transit. As it is, driving is the only real solution to get to work in those locations since even if you live nearby , the streets are very hostile to pedestrians/bikers and buses are very infrequent. I understand that some people may love driving/cars but it also not fair to make it a requirement and not just an option..
Money was invented in order to get round the problems of trusting other individuals. But then the issue is could you trust the person issuing the money? And you can imagine a world with many private currencies, but what we all want is something that we can all recognise as money; we don’t want to have to go around judging whether your money is worth more than somebody else’s. So the state became the natural issuer of money..
1. The Angel of the Lord appeared in Peter’s cell. Peter was so dead to the world that the Angel of the Lord had to whack him on the side, and raise him up to the standing position. I like to relate this concept to something we can all appreciate: money. If you have an income that does not get any bigger and you have a family, the larger the income then the more money you can spend on each individual in the family. If you have a dozen children, then each of the children receives less.
The set menu offers three or four choices for each course, and they change a bit each day, depending on what chef Jones has in his kitchen. There aren’t many self respecting French chefs who don’t have a bit of charcuterie lying around, and for my starter I had a hugely generous portion of Bayonne ham. There was so much of it that I could have taken half of it home in my handbag, though that wouldn’t have been very seemly, and it was too nice not to eat it all anyway..
1, it celebrates Sinterklaas Eve, when St. Nicholas, arrives on a white horse. Is a very traditional thing in Holland, Katz says. Our second week will focus what has been lovely called “the flower girl”. I am not exactly sure who gave her the name, I think someone in one of my classes, but it has stuck! This girl isn’t just about flowers though! In this workshop I show you how to take inspiration from headbands, hats, headdresses, flowers around you, feathers, ferns and more! NOT JUST flowers, but many different things to wear on your head! and create them into a gorgeous centerpiece for your girls hair. We use a four step process to finish the girl and unlike ALL of my other girls Ive ever created, it DOESN’T start with a background.
