SYM unveil new models at EICMA - 19/11/2009

At this years EICMA, SYM announced the launch of four new models which be available in the UK.
The MaxSYM 400/600, Jet 4 50/125, Cevalo 125 and the Evie are the newest additions to the SYM family. You can view images and information about them here.
The world’s leading trade fair for motorcycles and scooters, EICMA was held in Milan, Italy this November. The fair provided a great opportunity for SYM to launch the regeneration of their company with a new and challenging commitment.
The central theme of the SYM stand this year was “I LOVE SYM” with the aim that this brand catchphrase will be an unshakeable belief for SYM in Europe and the world…
At the centre of SYM philosophy and the new dimension for the subsidiary here in Italy is our emphasis upon the consumer and their current and future life needs. The stand incorporated the glamour, emotion and excitement of Italian and European lifestyles through its variable live exhibition programs.
Our stand carried the brilliant blue and white SYM brand logo, whose colours firmly establish an atmosphere of warmth and comfort throughout.
After our half a century of experience and technical development, grounded on professional expertise, SYM has identified its corporate mission – the vision is clear, the strategy is focused and both internal and external partners are confident that “Engine of Life” is a genuine lifetime promise.

Charley Boorman and the BBC at the SYM factory in Taiwan - 12/11/2009

Charley Boorman has recently completed the sequel to the television programme "By Any Means".
"By Any Means 2" took Charley from Sydney to Tokyo via the Pacific rim.
On his way he stopped off the factory of SYM for a guided tour before ending the day riding a SYM Citycom 300 to Taipei the capital of Taiwan.

2008 see's the launch of SYM's first Efi systems!
Electronic Fuel injection is fitted to all of SYM's 180cc and above machines, so if its better power output, better fuel efficiency or a greener ride SYM delivers!
With the Keihin system being used on our GTS 250 and the Synerject system being used on the HD 180,Joyride 180 and the Citycom 300 there is plenty of choice.
For added safety all SYM Efi machines come with an anti tilt sensor so should an accident happen the vehicle automatically shuts the system down. |
